Winning Baccarat Techniques, Trick or Treat?

We hear about baccarat techniques to make money, but do they really work and more importantly, can they be applied at the online casino tables?

If you’re just starting out, baccarat is one of the simplest games you can play in a casino. Played with up to 12 players in most casinos, it is played on large tables and the round can be long depending on the number of players.

Master the Rules of Baccarat

In a baccarat game, you will be asked to bet on the winner of the round.

Thus, you can win money in Baccarat by betting on whether you will win, lose or draw.

The player’s hand consists of two cards, as does the dealer’s hand. The winner of the round is the hand that comes closest to 9.

When calculating the sum of your hand, only cards between 1 and 9 earn you points based on face value. Cards between 10 and king do not earn you any points.

In case you end up with a score higher than 10 by adding your two cards, you will have to subtract 10 to calculate your points. For a hand of 14 points you would have a score of 4.

If either hand scores 8 or 9, this is called a natural hand. This hand is a winning hand, so you will win money if you bet on it.

In the event that neither hand is a natural hand, a third card is drawn by the dealer for each hand. The hand that is closest to 9 is the winning hand.

If you want to play on luck, a special baccarat technique is to bet mainly on a draw. This method of winning at baccarat will allow you to double your original bet, whereas a win will cause you to lose everything. Betting on a baccarat draw, however, will result in higher winnings, but this is also a rarer scenario.

The Martingale, a famous baccarat technique

Martingale system

The Martingale is a technique that is widely used in casino gambling. It is therefore also a very popular baccarat technique for players.

The Martingale in baccarat consists of doubling your bet with each loss until you win the round.

This often used technique is not very profitable, however, as the accumulation of your bets until you win will leave you with little profit.

In addition, you will need to ensure that you have enough chips as a long losing streak can quickly increase your stake.

If you wish to adopt the Martingale technique in baccarat, you will have to find out about the rules applied in this establishment.

To avoid abuse of this technique, some casinos have chosen to put a cap on the amount of money they can bet. If you are in a long losing streak and still want to double your bet, be careful about the maximum bet you can make on that table.

The risk of such a technique is also that you will lose large sums of money very quickly if you are unable to double your original bet.

Counting, a Baccarat technique to avoid

Baccarat Techniques

Many players think that counting cards in baccarat will make them win. This technique, which is traditionally used in Blackjack, involves estimating the next card to come up via the odds. This technique should be avoided in Baccarat.

The number of cards in the shoe can be very high, so it is not possible to estimate the odds of the cards. We therefore advise you to use this system for other casino games if you wish to use it.

Nevertheless, after a series of 4 or 5 winning hands for the bank or the player, you can deduce that the next hand will end the series. You can therefore bet on the other player winning. This play action is even recommended in this situation.

Manage Your Time in the Game

Without a doubt, the best technique in Baccarat, as in all other games, is to manage your time and your physical health.

After an hour of playing in the casino, your analytical skills deteriorate and you may find it harder to make good decisions.

Therefore, don’t hesitate to take regular 15-minute breaks to better reflect and increase your Baccarat winnings. Don’t forget that internet casinos or physical casinos make you play in an environment that will tire you out very quickly, so know how to stay in control of yourself.
